Corpo Santo Hotel
Wow, wow, wow. The Corpo Santo Hotel. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know I love this hotel and have been posting about it a lot. I wanted to post a blog post about it before I even got here, but now that I am here, let me tell you this hotel has blown away any expectations. I’m blown away by this hotel because it’s actually my first partnership hotel and I feel so lucky and grateful to them for all they have done for me. They have set the tone of what type of hotels I want to write about. I’m a sucker for hotels and this one lemme tell ya, is amazing.
Actually, thanks to Covid, I think people are going to look at hotel differently. People are traveling with a purpose. They want the most out of their money. They want to travel and feel good and in case of emergencies, they want to know hotels have their backs. I travel a lot and I know what to look for in a hotel. I need one who is going to make me tether back and forth whether I should actually leave the hotel, or just stay in it. This one, I tethered. Like do I want to go visit Lisbon…… or do I want to go on the walking tour with the hotel and then come back and get my free 20min massage and then go to the spa and then go to the wine tasting and then when I get back to my room theres a whole cheese platter laid out for me…. YOU SEE? It was like that!
I’m going to write more, a lot more about this hotel, but this is just an inside scoop and quick glance of what its like here. There’s so much to write about and it deserves more than just a “review.”
There is a reason why this hotel is #1 in Lisbon and let me tell you, there are a lot of ways a hotel can be #1. It can be based on the rooftop, breakfast, or interior design but Corpo Santo Hotel is #1 because of its customer service.
I’ve stayed in some of the most amazing hotels in the world, and in a lot of hotels in Lisbon, but their customer service isn’t all the way there. I mean just mediocre. Gone are the days when customer experience is just a given. It takes people who really, truly care to understand how to capture the small details. I know what you’re thinking, “A hotel has like so many people coming in and out, how can they notice me?” Oh, but they can darling. They can, and Corpo Santo Hotel is Number ONE for that exact reason.
Before I get into how they actually do that, let me begin by telling you a bit of history about them since they are a historical hotel. No seriously, the building is actually built on history. During the works for the installation of the hotel, pieces of Lisbon's history were discovered. The hotel offers two free historical walking tours per day and each walking tour starts with the hotel itself. The hotel did a great job preserving the history, and you’ll be able to be a part of it too. Even the rooms! My room had an old bank vault inside of it. I was in awe!
I appreciate hotels who tell stories. Knowing the how and why, makes you feel closer to them. I have a real respect for the WHY. Why build a hotel? Why should we stay here? Why? Corpo Santo Hotel answers those questions and more. I want to tell you, but I think you should stay for yourself. Experience the 5 Star experience.
Not only do they offer two free walking tours, but they also offer a free 20-minute massage, a free hotel beverage daily, daily wine tastings, and a lovely spa with a Russian dry sauna, Turkish steam shower, a halotherapy room, and multiple light sensory showers. There’s even an ice cream machine in the lobby serving unlimited ice cream and plenty of options from their midnight snack menu. Talk about the red carpet.
Then, as you’re enjoying your walking tour, or out to lunch, or just enjoying the city for the day, you come back into your room, and BOOM, there’s a surprise right there waiting for you. Chocolates, goodies, a food platter, whatever they have in mind, they bring you. It’s just the cherry on top. You’ll never want to leave. It’s hard to leave such a comfortable room, then leave people who care about you so much.
Also, a hotel that offers TWO historical walking tours per day and they BOTH are different tours? It literally cannot get any better than this. Those hop-on hops off buses with dingy headphones have nothing on these tours. I learned so much and I asked a thousand questions. (PS Victoria is a hoot, be sure to chat with her. She knows A LOT and speaks so many languages I couldn’t keep up with her! She’s killing it!)
Let’s talk about the rooms. I like a good room. A room for me can make or break a stay. The rooms here are spacious and wonderfully attended to. They have large comfortable beds and great pillows. I’m a sucker for the bed pillows. I need TWO. They use Molton Brown amenities, which are always lovely. The room comes with bathrobes and slippers which were soft! That’s so important for me. I hate when robes aren’t soft. They also have tv channels for all languages although I found myself watching the Portuguese channels. I love the Portuguese language. Also, the bathroom is a wonderful bathroom with chromotherapy. Yep, that means you can take a bath in a beautiful light show with calming music (WHICH I DID EVERYNIGHT)
Location, Location, Location. It’s right smack dab in the middle of Lisbon. Close to everything! There’s no need for a car, the metro is right there, the tram, bus, taxi. Everything. There’s really nothing more to say here because it’s really all right there for you!
For you breakfast fans, let me tell you, the breakfast is one for a king and queen. You’re greeted with fresh coffee and OJ, fruits, a bread basket, and a meat and cheese platter. This is given to you automatically even before you order! Then, you can order whatever you want from the large menu selection. Just with the starters, I’m stuffed. The menu is there for you to order anything and everything. We sat there for 10 minutes thinking about what to get. We were like two kids in a candy store. Breakfast is super important for me because it’s always something to look forward to when starting your day. Breakfast at a hotel can make or break your stay. Ya won’t have any problems with this one guys!

Have I convinced you to stay yet? The Corpo Santo Hotel is paradise, and more but the staff, the staff is irreplaceable. A special thanks to the staff who know your name, who say hello, who go above and beyond. Management KNOWS hotel excellence and has created a team that believes in it too. It’s one thing to have a hotel team, but it’s another to have a team that believes and takes pride in what they do. Don’t believe me? Check out their reviews here. I sat through all the reviews and read them before I came so coming to this hotel I was soooooo excited. But the reviews and photos do not do it justice. Not at all.
DO NOT hesitate to take a trip to Lisbon JUST to stay at the beautiful Corpo Santo Hotel. The attention to client detail and experience is unmatched. You won’t be disappointed and I’m so confident to say, “I told ya!” Thank me later. Be sure to book directly with the Corpo Santo. Reach out to them before you go and let them know I sent you (You’re in for a surprise) But also allow yourself to have a good time. Allow yourself to be treated like royalty like Kings and Queens you are in Portugal for goodness sake! ENJOY! xxx
