Yurbban Passage Hotel
Yurbban, Yurbban, Yurbban. Where do I begin? The moment I stepped foot into this hotel, I knew it was special. Yurbban was the reason I fell in love with Barcelona. I came to this hotel to spend New Year in Barcelona in 2019. I was only supposed to stay for 4 days, but I wound up staying for almost 2 weeks! I couldn’t get enough and ever since then, it became one of my favorite places to stay and my number one hotel recommendation in Barcelona. It only makes sense that I write about this hotel and its magnificence. The 5 Senses Experience Yurbban gave me, I hope will inspire you to visit and stay at this hotel when you arrive in Barcelona. It’s truly a special place for me and is detrimental to my path of how I arrived in Barcelona today.
So ladies and gents, 📍Check-In with me to: Yurbban Passage Hotel in Barcelona, Spain
From the moment you walk into Yurbban, your nose is filled with this incredible scent. It’s woody which gives you a calm and warm feeling. It’s beautiful. The lobby is dimly lit and so personal. There are beautiful rugs and couches that suck you into coziness. Walking up to the front desk, you’re greeted with staff who are so lovely. They always knew my name, always asked me if I needed anything and we often spent time chatting and eventually getting to know each other.

In the middle of the lobby and hotel restaurant mirror a U-shape. The interior U is encased in glass, which allows you to peek down into the passageway (hence the name Yurbban Passage.) overlooking different merchants and passersby. There’s even a gorgeous display of local artisan products available for you to purchase, the hotel proudly showing their support.
I always try to arrive at the hotel just in time for lunch. The restaurant, D'Aprop with its relaxed lighting offers you an incredible gastronomy experience. The food is elegant and served with the same elegance. One couch lined wall is filled with books, artifacts, photos and more so no matter where you find a seat, your eyes are sure to draw into many different aspects of the restaurant. After you’re full of food, and drinks, let head upstairs and check in to the room. P.S., don’t worry if you miss a drink at lunch, the hotel has Wine O-Clock served with some of the best wine and cheese in the lobby and restaurant. (A dream right? I know.)

As you step onto the elevator, your nose is blessed every time you breathe in the signature fragrance. (You can purchase it at the front desk) No matter what floor you land on, which room you get, your room will be beautiful. A contemporary Mediterranean feel, Yurbban’s rooms are fresh, spacious, and full of everything you need.
The showers are elegantly designed with a raindrop-esque shower head, and luscious scents respectful and eco-friendly Each room even comes with a yoga mat, aromatic teas and coffee, and a media hub. And the bed, we can’t forget the bed. A matchless night’s sleep. It’s exactly where I want to be when I arrive back at my hotel room after a day of shopping, visiting museums, and living a glutinous life of tapas and Vermouth.

During downtime service, they always leave a calming sleep spray and if you’re lucky, some mouth-watering chocolate. The best part of all though is the PERSONALIZED note. I always stop and take a moment to read it, enjoy my goodies and spend a mutual moment of gratitude.
There are too many things to highlight about Yurbban. As I’m writing this, I’m realizing how much this hotel has really left an impression on me. I’m able to recall things from a few years ago. I could dream on, but there are just two more stops we have to make. Traveling makes me so happy!
I’ll start with the gym and spa. But wait, can you believe on your way down to the gym and spa on the 1st floor, there’s a washer and dryer? I know!!!! How perfect. (When I found this out, I thought they truly wanted me to live there, hehe.) But as we head down to the gym and spa, you’re transported underground. The neatly stacked gym is street level to the other side of Yurbban’s passage and as your working out, you can hear the chatter of the world around you. You’ll get a lot of exercise and cardio you need just by walking around Barcelona, so Yurbban’s gym is equipped perfectly with the essentials you need. I can’t forget they also have free water bottles and towels making your workout experience effortless.

If you’re a hotel guest, you have complimentary use of the spa facilities. The spa is alone a treasure. An indoor oasis of a beautiful water circuit with a hammam, sauna, and indoor pool. Any treatment is exactly what it is, a TREAT. What the illuminating spa does though, leaves you in a moment to forget about the time. Who cares what’s going on in the world above you, when you’re transported into an underground bubble of Slow Beauty. It’s intoxicating guys, I can’t.
Leave the spa, enter back into that fragrant elevator, get back to your room and lay and enjoy the bed but only for a moment. It’s time to get dressed (GET BACK INTO THE INFAMOUS ELEVATOR) and head upstairs to the rooftop.
GET READY because this rooftop is one of the most impressionable ones I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure if it’s the sparkling pool, the deep gray tiled floor, or the ridiculously clean and shiny outdoor bathroom mirror that I can’t stop taking selfies on. This rooftop embraces the beauty of Barcelona. As you stand on the rooftop, you realize you’re not alone in this magnificent city. You’re let in on the school next door, the neighbors hanging out their laundry to dry, and you may even encounter a mutual wave to the guests on the rooftop of their sister hotel, Yurbban Trafalgar.

Whether you’re a guest relaxing on the pool beds reading a book or working, or a guest having a drink and enjoying the view, you can’t help but smile and admire the rooftop experience of Yurbban Passage Hotel.
I’ll always recommend Yurbban Passage Hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in Barcelona. The 5 Sense Experience you’ll be in will leave you wanting more and more of this hotel. I came back to stay at this hotel at least 8 more times and now that I live in Barcelona, my heart is always warm and full as I pass it on the streets knowing what gems lay inside and the experience every guest receives.

What about you? Have you been to Yurbban Passage Hotel? What type of 5-Sense experience have you encountered? If not, what’s something that you’re looking forward to experiencing when you get there? (HANDS DOWN YOU BETTER GET SOME OF THEIR HOME FRAGRANCE! YOU KNOW I’M THE BIGGEST FAN)
